Prepare for a confident river day.

Understand the briefing, equipment and river conditions before your Rishikesh rafting adventure.

Himalayan Outfitters

A good trip starts before the first rapid.

Choose the right route

Share your group size, ages, previous rafting experience and comfort in water. The team will discuss an appropriate stretch and confirm eligibility and operating conditions before booking.

Listen to your river guide

Attend the full briefing before launch. Learn the paddling commands, where to sit and how to respond if someone enters the water. Ask questions whenever an instruction is unclear.

Check your equipment

Wear the helmet and buoyancy aid provided for your trip, with all straps adjusted by the guide. Use secure footwear and leave loose jewellery and valuables behind.

Let conditions decide

River levels, weather, permissions and guide assessment determine whether a trip runs. If the team postpones or changes a route, arrange a suitable alternative with them.

Plan with our team

Before booking, tell the team about any health condition or mobility concern that could affect participation. Ask about age and weight eligibility, meeting arrangements, included equipment and the policy for weather-related changes.
